The legal basis for carrying out this data processing is the execution of the contractual obligations assumed by the User and IMove in the App. The personal data processed for this purpose will be kept as long as that relationship is maintained and, once it is finalised, during the conservation and prescription periods of the legal liabilities.
  • Keep the User informed, including by electronic means, about news and events related to IMove, as well as IMove services. The legal basis for carrying out this data processing is the freely given consent of the User. Personal data processed for this purpose will be kept until the User withdraws the given consent. The User may indicate expressly whether it authorises the processing of their data at any time.

  • Respond to requests for information and/or inquiries made by the User. The legal basis for the processing is the freely given consent of the User. The data processed for this purpose will be kept until the response is given to the request for information and/or inquiry and, after that, during the periods of conservation and prescription of legally foreseen responsibilities. 


Personal Data Transfers

The data may be communicated to the following third-party recipients: Public Administrations for the fulfilment of legal obligations and banking entities for the management of collections and payments. They can also communicate to the following categories of processors: electronic communications providers, office automation, hosting, housing, computer maintenance, management, accounting, auditing, advice, and legal representation. The User may exercise before IMove their rights of access, rectification, erasure, limitation of processing, data portability and object. Likewise, in the processing of the User's data whose legitimacy is based on the consent given by the User, they have the right to withdraw said consent at any time, without affecting the legality of the treatment based on prior consent upon withdrawal.

Data Collection

IMove allows users to track their daily steps, join gamified challenges in Fitness, Nutrition and Wellness, users receive a daily goal to complete, can track their progress and share their activities with the community on a social feed. For a proper functioning of the IMove app and to continue enhancing the user experience, we collect the following types of information from our Users: The data we collected about you is what you have provided to us, including the following:

  1. Personal Info: name, mobile phone number, city, birthdate, gender, height and weight, device id and android id. This data is collected for app functionality, analytics, developer communications, and account management.
  2. Photos (optional): IMove may also request access to your photos. This data is collected for app functionality and account management, allowing the User to participate in the challenges and share activities such as healthy meals, images, outdoor activities, etc.  
  3. Health and Fitness: IMove requests access to Google Fit to read the User fitness and sleep data for the following purposes:
    • Fitness API:  This access is essential for reading User's fitness activities. It enables the activation of a step tracker on the home page and participation in Step Challenges. Users can  track their daily steps and share their activity with a supportive community. 
    • Sleep Data from Fitness API: Access to this data allows Users to join  sleep- challenges,  track their daily sleep hour activity, promoting better sleep habits.
      This data is collected for app functionality, IMove does not collect any other personal data from your google account.
  4. App info and  performance: IMove collects info for Device ID or other IDs, Crash logs, Diagnostics, app interactions for analytical purposes and app enhancement.
  5. App ActivityApp interactions, and other actions are collected for analytical purposes. Other User-generated content (optional) is collected for account management purposes.
  6. Financial Information: User payment info (Optional) is collected for app functionality and account management. Purchase history is collected for app functionality, Analytics, Account management


Opting Out

We note throughout this Privacy Policy that we make available to our Users the opportunity to readily opt out of providing information that they do not wish to share. You may opt out of providing information to IMove by contacting us on 


Keeping Information Secure

The security of your information is extremely important to us. Your IMove account information is protected by a password for your privacy and security. In addition, we follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information of our Users, both during transmission and after we receive it. IMove strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, including use of encryption, firewalls, and hashing on select types of information collected by the IMove app. We encrypt your information during transmission over a secure connection. No method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, so IMove cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can enhance your security by protecting against unauthorised access to your password and to your mobile device. Only employees who need personal information to perform a specific job (for example, a customer service representative) are granted access to it. All of our employees are kept up to date on our privacy and security practices.


Account Management and Deletion

We store your personal information for a period of time that is consistent with our business purposes. We will retain your personal information for the length of time needed to fulfil the purposes outlined in this privacy policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When the data retention period expires for a given type of data, we will delete or destroy it.

By visiting your User Profile, you can correct, amend, add, or delete personally identifiable information. When you update information, however, we often maintain a copy of the unrevised information as part of our normal back-up procedures and so that we can comply with any future legal requirements.

You may request access to any Personal Information that we have collected that is not available on your User Profile page so that you may correct any inaccuracies or request deletion of that information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

IMove may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, at its sole discretion. If we make material changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by updating the date of the policy and/or by posting an announcement on the IMove app so you may stay up-to-date on what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, it is disclosed. If you continue to use the IMove app after those changes are in effect, you agree to the new policy.
